Our Cottage Policies
Here are some general information and policies that help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for you and your travel companions

Reservation PolicyReservations can be made via our website, Airbnb, over the phone, or via email. We prefer our guests to book online as you can view all the necessary information for your cottage and secure the booking immediately. Our deposit and payment policies are listed in each booking.

Cancellation PolicyThe cancellation terms for each cottage can be found in their online listings.

Do you have a minimum stay requirement?A minimum stay of 2 nights is required for our cottages. This not only helps out our cleaning team tremendously, but also allows you and your travel companions more time to explore the area and enhance your stay!

When and how do I check in?Check-in is anytime after 4pm. Simply pick up your keys at our key handling station at 55 Hedge Road (The Briars Resort & Spa). The station is located at the Front Desk right when you walk into the front door of the resort.

When and how do I check out?Check out is at 10am. You must turn off all lights and appliances, and place all your garbage in trash bags ready for the team to pickup inside your cottage after your stay. After that, ensure both your front and patio doors are locked, and return your key to the key handling station at 55 Hedge Road.

What happens if I don't check out on time?If you won't be able to check out of your cottage on-time, you must inform us to avoid being charged a late checkout fee. Late check-outs are granted based on availability. If you check-out late without our approved extension: Between 10am-11am: $50 Between 11am-1pm: 50% of your nightly rate After 1pm: 100% of your nightly rate (you must still depart your cottage before 4pm for the next arrival)

Guest LimitsThe maximum capacity for each cottage must be strictly adhered to. You can only occupy the cottage with the exact number of guests booked in your reservation. Exceeding this limit and your reservation's capacity may result in additional charges or eviction. If you have more guests than intended join your trip, and the new guest count is within your cottage's maximum capacity - you should update your guest count in your reservation right away.

Can I have visitors during the day?Day visitors are permitted only with prior approval. This is because we have limited parking spaces, and these are reserved for our overnight guests only.

Are your cottages pet-friendly?Most of our cottages are not pet-friendly. To book a pet-friendly cottage, please look for the pet-friendly label/tag in our listing. We understand it is difficult to leave your fur babies at home, but bringing a pet into a non-pet-friendly cottage will result in additional charges and/or eviction.

SmokingSmoking is strictly prohibited inside our cottages. This includes both tobacco and cannabis products. Please also refrain from smoking on your back patios, as the smell carries into your cottage. If you are smoking outside the front door of your cottage or in your backyard area, please keep your doors closed to avoid letting any smoke into your cottage. Please also dispose of your cigarette butts, joints etc. properly. Those found in violation of our smoking policy will be fined a smoke damage fee of $1000 CAD. This is because our cottages are all made of wood with carpeted flooring, therefore, it is very hard to get odours out once the damage has occurred.

PetsFor our pet-friendly cottages, a pet fee will be applied in your reservation. Pets must be well-behaved and supervised at all times. Additional cleaning or damage fees will apply if pet damages are found after checkout. For more information regarding our pet policy and non-pet-friendly cottages, please read the description under 'Occupancy Limits'.

Noise LevelsPlease keep noise to a minimum to respect neighbors and other guests. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. No parties are allowed inside and outside of our cottages.

Do you provide cleaning services during my stay?Cottages are cleaned before guest arrivals. We do not provide cleaning services during any stays. There will be extra towels and toilet paper for your stay. Extra linen is available upon request prior to check-in. Guests are expected to leave the property in a tidy condition. Excessive cleaning requirements may result in additional charges.

Damage & BreakagesGuests are responsible for any damage or breakages occurring during their stay. Damage fees will be charged and invoiced accordingly. Please report any issues immediately to ensure prompt resolution.

Fire SafetyOur cottages are equipped with smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. Familiarize yourself with their locations and follow safety instructions.

Local RegulationsGuests must comply with all local laws and regulations during their stay.
